Signal Network of US Nuclear Forces Deployed in Western Europe (Flaming Arrow)

Description: This document examines the command organization of the US nuclear forces stationed in Western Europe. It was prepared by the East German Stasi (Staatssicherheit) intelligence agency. It concludes that the US is constantly improving its nuclear forces' command organization. This is reflected by the installation of a special network for information and warning, FLAMING ARROW. The document gives details on who is running FLAMING ARROW, who is using it, what it is used for, and what the current technical changes are.
