Speech by the First Secretary of the Polish Workers' Party (Władysław Gomułka)

Description: This is a transcript of a speech given by the first secretary of the Polish Workers' Party, Władysław Gomułka, at the Warsaw Pact's 1968 Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Sofia. He stresses the importance of concluding negotiations on the nuclear weapons non-proliferation treaty, and argues the Romanian proposals should be ignored and the treaty ratified as soon as possible.
