Description: This is the transcript of a speech on disarmament and détente delivered by the Czechoslovak foreign minister at the 1980 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Warsaw. He stresses that all Warsaw Pact signatories are determined to reach an agreement on disarmament and military détente at the CSCE conference in Madrid. He further reminds his audience of the need for coordinated action at the upcoming conference.
