Description: This document is the summary of a statement by Romanian leader Nicolae Ceauşescu at the Warsaw Pact Military Council Meeting in Bucharest in November 1986. Contrary to the views of Supreme Commander of the United Armed Forces Viktor Kulikov, Ceauşescu argues that there is no danger of war and that further steps should be taken towards disarmament.
