Description:
In this letter, the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party states that it believes in the necessity to discuss and adopt measures for the reconstruction and improvement of the leadership of the Warsaw Pact at the forthcoming Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting. Romania suggests that the PCC should direct its activities primarily towards socio-economic development and the enhancement of the standard of living, as well as strengthening Socialist democracy, the forces of peace, and Socialism as a whole.
