East German Description of a West German Plan for Conflict With East Germany

Description: This document is an East German description of a West German war plan for "limited conflict" with East Germany. The document outlines what it calls the West German political-military strategy for limited conflict, codenamed "Outline", and a concrete operational plan, codenamed "DECO II". The author formulates a military strategy for the East German National People's Army in case of aggression. The war plan includes an inventory of the West German military forces as evidence of their high combat readiness. The document condludes that the military training of the East German army must be improved in light of the security threat caused by West Germany. (The authenticity of the so-called "DECO II" plan has not been verified to date.)
