Minutes of Conversation of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party

25 Jun 1971
Description: These minutes of a meeting of the Romanian Politburo refer to Romanian leader Nicolae Ceauşescu's recent visit to China and Moscow. Ceauşescu states his favorable impressions of his reception in China and acknowledges the achievements of the Cultural Revolution. In meetings with his Chinese colleagues, Ceauşescu elaborates on the Romanian opposition to the transformation of the Warsaw Pact. The report on China is followed by comments on his visits in Korea, North Vietnam, and Mongolia. Finally, Moscow's criticism of Ceauşescu's anti-Soviet statements during his stay in the Far East is discussed.
