Report by the First Secretary of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party (János Kádár) to the Hungarian Party Politburo on the PCC Meeting of January 1972

Description: In this report, the first secretary of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party, János Kádár, highlights the discussions held at the Warsaw Pact's Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in January 1972. Kádár addresses the statement of the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia on the situation in Indochina, as well as the agreement reached by the Warsaw Pact countries on joint efforts toward European peace and security. Furthermore, Kádár refers to the joint strategy regarding the development of relations between the Warsaw Pact and West Germany.
