In this report, Bulgarian Prime Minister Stanko Todorov informs Bulgarian First Secretary Todor Zhivkov on discussions held during Todorov's visit to India. During the visit, Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi repeatedly stressed the difficult economic situation, quarrels inside the Congress Party and pressures from the right wing opposition. Comparing the Indian situation to pre-coup Chile, she asks for increased international support. Todorov recommends supporting the Gandhi government by expanding economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
