Description: This is a report on the 1988 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Budapest. The Warsaw Pact foreign ministers state their desire to reduce tensions between NATO and the Warsaw Pact. They also express confidence in a new détente process in Europe and hope for an early conclusion of the CSCE negotiations in Vienna.
