Description: This report on the meeting of Sub-Group 3 held on 18 May 1967 discusses an outline prepared by the group as a basis for the interim report in June. The two main subjects for discussion are the respective political-military situations within the alliance and in the Eastern bloc, and the relationship between NATO's defense policies and programs and the broader political objective of the alliance.
