East German Report on the PCC Meeting

Description: This report on the 1989 Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Bucharest lists its agenda and outcomes. The participants agree that the relationship between Eastern and Western Europe has improved. Among the main topics discussed are: (i) disarmament, with the need to focus on tactical nuclear weapons, (ii) the right to different social and political concepts in an common European home and the inviolability of sovereignty, and (iii) the peaceful resolution of regional conflicts.
