Description: This communiqué reviews the extraordinary session of the Warsaw Pact (WP) Committee of Ministers of Defense in East Berlin in 1983. The document addresses NATO's intentions to deploy missiles to Western European countries and cautions against the danger of a nuclear war. The communiqué stresses that the WP's objective is not military predominance, as it is the case with the US.
