Report on the Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers

10 Jun 1989
Description: This report addresses the meeting of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) deputy foreign ministers on 7 June 1989 in Moscow. According to the report, the WP deputy foreign ministers regard the Non-Aligned Movement as an influential and positive force in international politics. They anticipate that the role of that organization will be enhanced as a result of the Yugoslav presidency. Furthermore, they emphasize the need to develop an active partnership with non-aligned countries on a bilateral basis. The deputy foreign ministers also address the disarmament initiatives of the non-aligned states.
