Agreement Concerning the Cessation of the Validity of the Military Understandings Concluded Within the Framework of the Warsaw Treaty and the Dissolution of Its Military Organs and Structures25 Feb 1991 |
||
Description:
This 1991 agreement announces the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact treaties, e.g. on the Unified Command and air defense. However, it sets no procedures for the future declassification of Warsaw Pact documents. The agreement leaves such procedures to be determined in cooperation with the Unified Command, which it simultaneously dissolves. In practice, the matter was subsequently handled individually by the former member states of the Warsaw Pact or their successors. Collection: Polish Generals
