Opinion of East Germany (NATO's Views on Psychological Warfare)

Description: This East German document discusses the growing importance of psychological warfare and media influence in the struggle between East and West. East German Defense Minister Heinz Kessler presentes the opinion during the twentieth session of the Warsaw Pact (WP) Committee of Defense Ministers in Bucharest 1987. Kessler analyzes Western European information policy. East German youth and students are the aim of West German media and increased openness will enhance that development. In a second part, he explains steps to counter this process.
