Description:
The director for South Asian Affairs in the Soviet foreign ministry informs a GDR representative of the results of the visit by Indian President Sarvepalli Radakrishnan to the USSR. The Soviet official stresses Moscow's support for a continuation of Nehru's policies and India's general non-aligned posture which also have an impact on other Asian and African countries. It is also reported that the Soviet side successfully pressed for a reaffirmation of the late Nehru's public acknowledgment of the existence of two German states. Collection: Indo-Soviet Relations
