NATO Activities in North European Command

Description: This document, prepared by the East German Stasi (Staatssicherheit) intelligence agency. summarizes NATO activities in northern Europe. First, the document recounts the results of a meeting between the NATO commander-in-chief in Europe, US General Bernard W. Rogers, and the Danish government. Secondly, the erection of depots for military hardware in Norway is reported. The document contains further detailed information about a field exercise Anorak Express taking place in March 1980 in Norway, including the political background, the objectives of the exercise, and participating forces.
