Description:
This document was prepared by the East German Stasi (Staatssicherheit) intelligence agency and presents detailed information about armaments programs of the French armed forces. One essential component of the French stance is an independent and effective defense policy, which is reflected in an ambitious armament program. The paper presents details of the French medium-term arms procurement program of the third Five-Year Plan for 1971-1974 and comments on them.
