Opinion of East Germany

Description: This document expresses the East German view with respect to the Reykjavik summit between the US and the Soviet Union on nuclear disarmament. It was presented during the 19th session of the of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) Committee of Ministers of Defense (CMD) in Warsaw 1986. East Germany fully supports the Reykjavik talks and the Soviet position there, but also warns of negative tendencies in the US and West Germany. After that, East Germany's position regarding disarmament is outlined.
