Description:
This is a transcript of a speech given by the East German leader Erich Honecker at the 1974 Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Warsaw. He speaks in favor of combat-readiness in spite of détente, and urges Romania to show more solidarity. He then gives an overview of political relations with West Germany and the situation in West Berlin.
