Memorandum of Conversation Between Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Aboimov and the Romanian Ambassador to the USSR

Description: This is a memorandum of a conversation recording Romanian leader Nicolae Ceauşescu's statement that the deportation of a local priest in Timişoara was planned to provoke protests. He blames the member-states of the Warsaw Pact for having planned and organized the action in the city. The Soviet deputy foreign minister rejects the Romanian accusations.
