Description:
These are the minutes of the first session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in Moscow in 1969, listing the participants, questions discussed, and decisions taken at the meeting. Since this is the first CDM meeting, a number of procedural questions are clarified. Furthermore, the participants discuss NATO's policies, the development of the Warsaw Pact's land and air forces, and the establishment and work of the United Armed Forces' staff and its technical committee.
