Description: This document outlines possible East German questions for a personal discussion between Soviet Minister of Defense Dmitri Ustinov and East German Minister of Defense Heinz Hoffmann during the 12th session of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in Warsaw in 1979. Hoffmann is to ask Ustinov for his opinion on a number of issues, including the Soviet forces in East Germany, border traffic between East and West Germany, and military cooperation within the WP.
