Protocol No. 004

10 Feb 1972
Description: These minutes of the fourth session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in East Berlin in 1972 specify the participants, questions discussed, and decisions taken. Issues included the state of the NATO armed forces and the condition of the Warsaw Pact's means of transportation. The importance of a high level of defense readiness and the aggressive nature of NATO are stressed, as is the need for more coordination and standardization in the field of transportation. The Romanian representative objects to the discussion of propaganda-related questions.
