Description: This is a summary of a report by Soviet Minister of Defense Andrei Grechko on the further development of the Soviet land and air forces from 1971 to 1975, presented during the first session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Defense Ministers in Moscow 1969. The report focuses on the reorganization of the Soviet army divisions, the modernization of the armed forces, and the introduction of helicopters. Grechko admits mistakes regarding the introduction of missile systems at the expense of the artillery and the air forces.
