Speech by the Czechoslovak Foreign Minister (Bohuslav Chňoupek)

Description: This is the transcript of a speech given by Czechoslovak Foreign Minister Bohuslav Chňoupek at the 1986 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Warsaw. He analyzes the European security process and warns against attempts to focus on human rights issues at the expense of disarmament. He also informs the Warsaw Pact foreign ministers of the Czechoslovak plan for a pan-European economic forum and talks about plans discussed by Czechoslovakia, East Germany, and West Germany on creating a Central European chemical weapons-free zone.
