Memorandum of Conversation between the First Secretary of the Polish Workers' Party (Wladyslaw Gomułka) and the Romanian Ambassador to Poland (Petrescu) on the Romanian Proposal to Summon the PCC

Description: This is the summary of a conversation between the first secretary of the Polish Worker's Party, Władysław Gomułka, and the Romanian ambassador to Poland, Petrescu, about a letter from Romanian leader Nicolae Ceauşescu. Ceauşescu suggests calling a Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in February 1968 in order to discuss Romanian proposals to the draft of the non-proliferation treaty on nuclear weapons and to adopt a unified position on the project of a nuclear non-proliferation treaty to be presented at the UN's Eighteen Nations Disarmament Committee.
