State and Development of the Tactical Air Forces

Description: In this report, Soviet Deputy Minister of Defense Pavel Kutakhov provides information on the state of the tactical air forces in the United Armed Forces (UAF) of the Warsaw Pact (WP). Presented at the 15th meeting of the WP Committee of Ministers of Defense in Prague, the report outlines the functions, organization, and structure as well as the deployment conditions of the UAF air forces. Kutachov lists possible combat assignments of the various aircraft types and proposes options for the future technical development of the air forces.
