Decision of the CC of the BCP regarding the Warsaw Treaty Leaders' Meeting in East Berlin on 14 December 1987

Subject: Warsaw Treaty Leaders' Meeting in Berlin, 14 December 1987
14 Dec 1987
Description: This document outlines the decisions of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP) taken after a meeting of the general secretaries of Warsaw Pact parties in East Berlin. The BCP fully agrees that the results of Gorbachev's visit to Washington represent a historical step towards an agreement on the destruction of second-class nuclear weapons and that the Soviet Union has played a decisive diplomatic role in reaching that agreement. The committee supports bilateral disarmament and offers full cooperation, together with other Socialist countries, in creating nuclear and chemical weapons-free zones.
