Message from the Pakistani President Yahya Khan to the President of the State Council of Rumania (Nicolae Ceauşescu)

26 Jun 1971
Description: In this message to Ceauşescu, the Pakistani president Yahya Khan pledges for Romanian support against alleged Indian aggressive intentions towards Pakistan. Referring to a statement given by Indira Gandhi in the Indian parliament, a copy of which is annexed to the message, Yahya Khan describes Indian motives as exceeding a solution of the refugee crisis and indeed aiming at the installation of a government in East Pakistan favorable to Indian interests.
