Description: These are the minutes of the 17th session of the Warsaw Pact's (WP) Committee of Ministers of Defense (CMD) in Budapest in 1984. The minutes list the participants of the meeting and summarize the main topics discussed: i) NATO's military doctrine and the developments in the western and southwestern theaters of war, ii) integration of the WP air defense system, and iii) preparations for the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the WP. Attached to the report is a press release on the CMD meeting's proceedings.
