Subject: Economic cooperation between the USSR and India; Nehru to visit USSR

Description: This document comprises two memos, the first of which summarizes various attempts of Indian representatives between 1946 and 1951 to receive an invitation for their prime minister, Jawaharal Nehru, to visit the Soviet Union. The second memo outlines Indian preparations for participation in an international economic conference to take place in late July 1951 in Prague. The Indian delegates are mentioned as is a brief description of the general attitude in India toward the conference.
