Description: This document comprises a revised version of the draft reports of all four sub-groups on the Future Tasks of the Alliance. Among the major issues covered are: (i) East-West relations, (ii) détente and its political implications, (iii) the German Question and European settlement, (iv) the indispensable role of the US in the alliance, (v) the future defense and security policies of the alliance, and (iv) the role of NATO in global affairs.
