This is a transcript interview with Colonel Karel Štěpánek, former chief of the operations room of the Czechoslovak General Staff. The colonel describes the circumstances leading up to the War Plan 1964. He states that this plan demonstrates and confirms the importance of the Czechoslovak front as the first strategic line of the Warsaw Pact forces. According to Colonel Štěpánek, the operational objective of reaching Dijon in France remained in place at least until 1968. He further describes the cooperation between the Soviet and Czechoslovak General Staff.
