4 Sep 1984
Description: This report on the meeting of the economic subcommittee of the August 1984 conference of the Warsaw Pact deputy foreign ministers outlines the strategy of the Socialist countries at the 39th UN General Assembly with regard to economic development. Their aim is to emphasize the Socialist countries' peace politics and economic cooperation, as well as to lend support to the developing countries, thus reiterating the need for disarmament as the only way to release the financial means necessary to resolve the global economic problems.
