Interview with Gen. Jerzy Skalski

-undated-
Description: This is a transcript of an interview with the former Polish deputy minister of defense, General Jerzy Skalski. He describes the role of the Polish Front within the Warsaw Pact and raises questions of Polish sovereignty. He also states that the political leaders did not know the operational plans for the armed forces in case of war. He then comments on various military exercises, e.g. the exercise "Fatherland 73", which aimed at protecting the Polish population from a nuclear attack. He concludes with remarks on the Polish state of emergency in the early 1980s.
