Speech by the Romanian Foreign Minister (Stefan Andrei)

Description: This is the transcript of a speech given by Romanian Foreign Minister Stefan Andrei at the 1982 meeting of the Warsaw Pact's Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) in Moscow. He expresses Romania's commitment to détente. Andrei rejects the Soviet position in the Geneva talks and the Soviet rejection of the Camp David accords. He further proposes an action plan for the resumption of the CSCE negotiations in Madrid and advocates a demilitarized zone on the Balkans.
