Protocol COMECON Session

25 Jun 1954
Description: This report reviews the aims of COMECON member states for trade relations with capitalist countries. A set of rules is established, including that only goods not available from COMECON countries should be imported from capitalist countries. Strengthened trade with capitalist European countries is recommended to counteract US trade policy. In order to expand trade with developing countries, including India, the paper recommends long-term agreements establishing export-import quota.
