General Šmoldas outlines the structure of the Czechoslovak armed forces between World War Two and the Prague Spring in 1968. He also points to the changing positions of Eastern European army attachés in Moscow before and after the institutionalization of the Unified Command and the Warsaw Pact in 1955.
