The Warsaw Pact Members' Integrated Air Defense System and Measures for its Improvement (Summary)

Description: This is a summary of a report on the integration of the Warsaw Pact (WP) countries' air defense system. Soviet Marshal of Aviation Aleksandr Koldunov delivered this report at the 17th session of the WP's Committee of Ministers of Defense in Budapest in 1984. Given NATO's enhancement of military capabilities, Koldunov emphasizes the importance of acquiring modern air force equipment. He also encourages the organization of joint military training and exercises.
