Party Delegation Report on Results of PCC Meeting

19 Jan 1965
Description: This text summarizes the discussion of the 1965 Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Warsaw. It presents the viewpoints of the respective Warsaw Pact members. Among them, East Germany included a critique on political developments in West Germany and Romania refused to sign any documents on non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. However, the delegation members unanimously condemned Albania for its non-participation and NATO plans for nuclear weapons deployment in Europe. The report includes policy recommendations for the Czechoslovak foreign ministry. Attached are summarized speeches of Walter Ulbricht, Leonid Brezhnev and Antonín Novotný, and a record of a meeting of the Warsaw Pact leaders held on 20 January 1965.
