Description:
These meeting minutes provide a verbatim record of the council meeting in which the implementation of the resolution on Future Tasks of the Alliance was discussed. It documents the ministerial proposals for the procedure and the substance of the study of the future of NATO. The ministers agree to carry out the mandate in the resolution. Hence, the council accepts responsibility for the study and the organization of the special group. The special group is tasked with studying the developments of political events as well as the corresponding future tasks of the alliance, and with establishing the special procedure.
