Note on Consultations with Soviet First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (Viktor Malcev)

2 May 1979
Description: This document recounts recent talks with the Soviet First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. In these bilateral consultations, a number of international issues have been discussed, such as the situation in the Middle East and the conflict in the Horn of Africa. The main issue, however, was the forthcoming meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in which the Bloc countries are going to agree on a common position on disarmament proposals and the CSCE conference in Madrid.
