27 May 1986
Description: This document is an evaluation by East German Chief of Staff Fritz Streletz on the accuracy of West German information regarding the East German National People's Army. Streletz provides his views to Erich Mielke, the minister of state security, who is responsible for the East German "Staatssicherheit" (Stasi) intelligence agency. Streletz concludes that most of the West German appraisal is accurate. He offers corrections for some numbers in the West German estimate.
