Memorandum ot the Letter from the General Secretary of the CPSU (Mikhail Gorbachev) to the Bulgarian President (Zhelyu Zhelev) with a Proposal for a Warsaw Treaty CMFA and CMD Meeting

Description: This document is a memorandum regarding the delivery of a letter from the first secretary of the Soviet embassy in Sofia to Bulgarian President Zhelyu Zhelev. The letter states Mikhail Gorbachev's request for an urgent meeting of the foreign and defense ministers with the main goal of drawing up a decision for the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact military structures on 1 April 1991.
