Description: This report summarizes the strategic position of the Hungarian armed forces and scenarios for a possible war with Yugoslavia or NATO. In this context, the military strength and structure of the Hungarian and Yugoslav armies are discussed together with various scenarios for a Yugoslav attack on Hungary. Furthermore, the paper presents the structure of the Hungarian army on 15 December 1950 and the structure planned for 1 October 1951. The paper ends with an illustration of the Hungarian army's structure after the first phase of mobilization down to battalion level.
