17 Jan 1967
Description: This Hungarian foreign ministry proposal to the Politburo of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party (HSWP) summarizes the main objectives of the negotiations on the stabilization of peace and security in Europe and proposes three stages for this process: (i) negotiations and future cooperation between the capitalist countries and the Socialist bloc, (ii) a European peace conference, and (iii) establishment of a collective security system. In conclusion, the proposal outlines the importance of establishing multi- and bilateral relations and personal contacts to consolidate the European peace and security process.
