Communiqué and Statement on the Middle East

Description: This communiqué and statement on the Middle East (published after the 1974 meeting of the Political Consultative Committee, or PCC, in Warsaw) outline the Warsaw Pact's position regarding the strengthening of European security and the contribution of the Soviet Union and other Socialist countries in easing international tension. Further, the Warsaw Pact signatories express their solidarity with the struggle of the Arab countries against imperialist aggression and advocate the withdrawal of Israeli troops from all occupied Arab lands, including Palestine.
