Description:
This is a declaration approved by the Warsaw Pact signatories at the 1976 Political Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting in Bucharest. The Warsaw Pact signatories state that the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) is leading to a peaceful and secure continent and express their will to reduce weapons of mass destruction, and to sign a global treaty on non-violence in international relations. They also list the requirements for further results in the détente process. Additionally, an establishment of equal commercial relations between the COMECON and EEC is promoted. Also attached are a draft resolution, including the establishment of the Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) and a Joint Secretariat, and a communiqué listing the participants of the PCC.
